The Stanley Park EcoRanger Program
If you are out for a walk in Stanley Park this summer, there is a good chance you will come across a team of EcoRangers.
This volunteer role is advertised every April through May when we are looking for applicants.
Stanley Park Ecology Society’s EcoRangers are a group of volunteers working in pairs as roving naturalists in the Park, answering visitors’ questions about local animals, plants and cultural history, and providing other important on-the-spot interpretation. As Stanley Park guides, EcoRangers provide visitors with an enhanced and more meaningful experience of the Park.
The EcoRanger Program is funded by both SPES, the Gaming Commission and the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.
Time of operation
EcoRangers rove and operate interpretation stations in Stanley Park every Tuesday to Sunday from the beginning of July through to the Labour Day weekend in September.
